Response to Chapter 6
Based on the information provided in chapter 6, one can see that there are many technological tools available to use in the classroom. In my opinion I would rather work in a classroom that had more technology than less. Although having more technology in a classroom may lead to more chances for technological difficulties, I feel the benefits outweigh this risk. I also feel that the use of technology in a classroom increases students interest in learning and will benefit them in their future. On page 154, chapter 6 goes into detail how electronic white boards also enable a teacher to act interactively with their classroom, which I feel is very important as well. As educators we must prepare our students for their futures. As technology advances throughout the world, I feel it is very important that we use it more abundantly in classrooms in order to not only prepare our students for these advances, but to make preparing them easier on us as educators.
